About the Role
As an Electrical Apprentice at Hertzler Electric, you will embark on a rewarding journey towards becoming a skilled electrician in the commercial/industrial sector. This entry-level position offers hands-on training and mentorship, enabling you to gain valuable experience and develop expertise in electrical systems and installations.
Assist in Installation: Work alongside experienced electricians to assist in the installation of electrical systems in commercial/industrial buildings, including wiring, lighting, and power distribution.
Maintenance and Repairs: Participate in routine maintenance activities and troubleshooting tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of electrical systems.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues.
Tools and Equipment: Learn to operate and maintain electrical tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Blueprint Interpretation: Develop the ability to read and understand electrical blueprints and schematics.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work is completed to high-quality standards and in accordance with industry best practices.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in electrical work.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Physical fitness, as the job may involve lifting and climbing.
Basic knowledge of electrical concepts is a plus but not required.
